It's a shame Fredericks called when FPs were on the line. I'd have liked the call to go longer.

He'll call back - he can't help himself.

More jello talk from Jello-man.  I never realized how diverse and boring jello was until this guy started droning on about it every week.  Gods bless him for finding his calling in life though.

has anyone listened to the Jeff Bridges thing yet?

I found the "commercial" timely, having just bookmarked the website for this album last week.

I figure that in the least, it should be good for charity, and with some luck, I might be able to mix it in with some shortwave radio recordings to make something truly hallucinatory out of it.

sadly, I have no current use for a website.  nobody ever listens to a thing I say.

ergh...truck nuts; or as I like to call them, "why I left Texas".
It's...interesting. The strangest thing is probably that I could never see using it when I wanted to sleep. A couple early tracks are creepy and sound almost like horror ambiance, some tracks in the middle have talking parts that I think would have to be distracting and pull me out of any relaxed state. I don't regret grabbing it, it is for charity after all, and I even paid the $10 to get the bonus tracks. As far as the alleged purpose of the album goes, it's a bit of a dud. But there are some worthwhile, genuinely effective meditationy type tracks and as a whole, disconnected from it's given reason to exist, it's an entertaining, wacky listen. I never thought I'd have the opportunity to hear a likely stoned Jeff Bridges trying to goad his sleepy, reluctant, genuinely irked wife into humming for the microphone.

I haven't finished the podcast yet - did he do the Half Hour of Power after the show?

Wurster's "why" this last show is one for the record books. The Brett Gelman/Jason Woliner compliment trading also had me rolling.

Also, just to clear the air, I only mentioned Satellite Sam when I called in because I reviewed it the other day for work and we need the page hits.

This really confused me. I guess I must have missed it when it was announced that the Half Hour of Power would be podcast-only and not broadcast live. When the stream for the main show stopped, I sat by my computer hitting refresh for about half an hour thinking that the HHoP was going to start!

Tony -

Sorry about that. That was my mistake.

WE ARE FIGURING THIS THING OUT AS WE GO ALONG!

The Half Hour Of Power will drop tomorrow. I will make the announcement in the usual places when it's live.

Thanks!

Tom.
