I am already over Avalanche Bob

Week 1 was a winner. Week 2 seemed a bit too obvious that it was a listener doing a character to me.

There's no way it's a listener doing a character, I'm over him because he's delusional and boring and his voice is like nails on a chalkboard

At the start of his first call, I thought he was a listener doing a comedy routine, but by the end of it, I thought he was a sincere if slightly unhinged person. After looking at his videos & website, I still think that, but I also think someone who knows better is putting that stuff up for him ironically.

By the second call, I felt a little sad for him.

Dance Stop.

As in, "please stop."
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

The cake lady brought out a level of patience in Tom rarely seen outside of the Wurster calls.

The Murder Junkies may have never had a tour rider, but when I tried to book them sometime around '91, Merle said he wouldn't play his living room for less than 400 dollars (when I offered 400 bucks plus our band's gear to use). I thought that was fair for a 15 minute set and who knows how much damage

(I realize this was a call from a week ago, but I'm trying to catch up after vacation)

One can only hope that Randy 'Macho Man' Savage will win the Cruiserweight championship belt in Avalanche Bob's WWE style league of snowboarding.  If Avalanche Bob hadn't stepped on Tom's Macho Man that call would have been taken to the next level.

Gethard's story about the "Straight Up Phone Sex" episode reminded me of the Beast Masturbator.  I'm guessing there was a similar conversation Connor O'Malley had when he tried to bring that character to Seth Myers, provided Gethard doesn't own the rights to it.

Hearing Tom say "McBain" made me drop my juice box. Can anyone make a ringtone of that?

Somehow I don't think any amount of talk about you would be enough for you

I thought the same thing at first, it almost sounded like one of the guys from Earles and Jensen.

Matthew Tompkins referring to Jon Wurster as "that kid who looks like he's in an Echo and the Bunnymen tribute band" made me pause the show for a good five minutes so I could laugh.
