Mike's Show was great.

Not to mention Mozart and Orson Welles.

Just for the record, last night's topic on my show was: New Year's Resolutions (in bed). I deliberately toned it down for Tom's show.

Mike's Show is fantastic, the only problem with it is that only Mike and the current caller can hear it, making it difficult to achieve any discussion continuity.

I am so proud and honored to still be a part of the theme song, and they upped my enthusiasm level!

Spike's sad, quiet "He's drunk" near the end of the Fredericks vs. Soundboard Fredericks vs. Spike call.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I loved orson welles.  and every time tom played with the fredericks soundboard.

worst moment (not really), calling in and mike said my phone was bad.  so I walked down the street & called but no answer.  I went to get groceries instead.  otherwise, a definite sign that last nite was not my time to call in.

Come on, Jason

On a purely selfish level,  I was honored to hear myself (David from DC) in the new theme song, and also delighted that the theme ended with PBR's haunting Mozart-esque laugh, which, although surely not intended to be a shout-out to the Amadeus video I made for the contest, nonetheless made me smile and do a troll dance in my basement apartment.

On a less selfish level, the entire Babe Ruth sequence was hilarious.

Am I the only one who thinks the new intro was a bit TOO busy?

No.  But I also dislike change, so probably that's why I'm being critical.  In a while, I likely won't mind it a bit.

I'm just glad he left in "gingivitis".

agreed. No I don't mean to knock it (more like, constructive criticism), i'm all for the intro adapting as time goes on. I just had a hard time hearing a lot of the jokes...

I love it.  We're going to be hearing this thing every week for a while.  The business allows for density of material - we'll hear new things every time we listen.  Chris L upped his game and I approve.

Just to clarify again, that is indeed the "other" Chris L who does the theme.  The one who hasn't logged a horrifying amount of chat time instead of working on something cool.

1. Dogmo the Cat

We call our cat Herc-mo much of the time. (Like Hercules)

I like picturing Tom and Dogmo deep in conversation.

"Hey Michele, if this whole presidency thing doesn't work out - give me a call."
A caller from early on in the show's email to the first lady-elect.

and

"Hey thats that guy's cat"
Adam from New York (?) quick witted response to Tom playing the Fredericks Soundboard

I was interested to learn that John Wilkes Booth is in heaven.

I believe it was only vaguely referred to as "the afterlife," wasn't it?  Although surely the Professor from Gilligan's Island fronting a Pavement tribute band is someone's idea of heaven.
