Anyone pumped to see the new Jamie Lee Curtis thingamajig?!

(You may already know, she's no fan of TV and mainly sticks to Serious Film projects)

I need to admit that I don't watch TV...have never seen a single episode of Cheers, Friends, Seinfeld, American Idol..well, you get the idea. I don't even know how to turn on my TV as there is now something called... Input 1 or 2 or 3 and I have no idea what to do.

I might have to see this an An American Carol back-to-back. For some reason, I am actually considering it.

 That cast list is insane.

Drew Barrymore?
Piper Perabo?
Andy Garcia?
George Lopez?
Cheech Marin?
PLACIDO DOMINGO?

I really don't understand how this movie got made. Someone funded this. Someone directed this. Someone wrote the music. Someone hired thousands of chihuahuas. Someone CGI'ed them.
I remember seeing the trailer before Wall-E, and I think my mouth was left hanging open for about 2 minutes after it was over. I mean, I've seen some bad kids movies, but Happy Feet looks like a candidate for Best Picture next to what I expect out of this one.

There's some kind of mad genius hidden in this movie's terribleness. I'm oddly compelled to go see it, but I don't know if I would survive. Seriously. It looks like an absolute mindfuck.

I agree. I'm insanely curious to see it, in a way I haven't been about a bad movie since everyone told me I had to see The Room.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2: Absolute Mindfuck.

You see, I was under the impression that this movie had come and gone already. I saw the preview at Wall-E. Then, a while later,  I saw the poster for it at several Oakland bus shelters. And now I find out that the movie hasn't even been released yet. One more day ...

Jesus. Way to prolong the torture, Disney Corporation.

From the trailer, I was also under the impression that this was going to be an entirely CGI movie. But now I find out it's a mixed live-action/CGI thing. That makes it worse, somehow.

And then all these fucking weird almost-vaguely-funny catchphrases*. "Pronounced Chi-WOW-wa" ... "Hold on to your tacos" ... "Say hello to my Little Friends" (aka "get ready to meet my leetle chiWOWwa").

Mindfuck. Absolutely.

I give up. Disney wins.

* from the more recent trailer

Short of a love scene (they were pushing for a Hard R) between Domingo and Piper Perabo, there's no way. That said, I wonder if I could sneak a double feature after 'Blindness'?

Someone needs to get a shelter started for all the abandoned Chihuahuas once Chihuahua-mania subsides and the breed is ruined by puppy mills/inbreeding ala 101 Dalmatians.

I haven't been able to get through a preview. I'd assumed that it ends with "Who Let The Dogs Out."

Somewhere in the Dinsney offices, is a marketer who selects the music for film trailers, and this person listens to that song on headphones all day. That person also wears a helmet in the shower.

Based on his track record of seeing terrible movies, I hope Tom sees this and gives us a review.  It really saves me a lot of time.

I doubt he'll have time with An American Carol and Religulous coming out the same day.

the preview is embarrassing; i feel so awkward watching it.  what a trainwreck.

Spoony, they're also the person everyone goes to for their candy fix.  they keep candy in fifty strategically placed jars inside their office and right outside their door.  co-workers stop by to say hi, but only so they dont look like a greedy jerk who's only in the area for the sugar high.

And for the candy (probably tainted Chinease candy!!!) they have to hear things like, "OMG Monday already!" or "Humpday! Only two more days to go!"

High price to pay for a couple of Spree out of the ol' Herpes-roulette bowl.

If you're eating a loose Spree, you deserve whatever communicable diseases you get. What's next, a bowl full of Milk Duds?
This may be the year I will disappear.
