this thread reminds me of my dream to open a karaoke bar that provides less-than-obvious songs.  true story.

It would be nice to have some less-than-obvious songs.  The problem I always have is I usually blank out when trying to pick songs and end up with something random.

same here, which is why i intend to open a karaoke bar with more than "Bang-A-Gong" under TRex.

"Detachable Penis," seriously.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

What Karaoke has that one?

Although I suppose you could use any background music, kind of the beauty of that...

Portland Oregon, though I can't remember the name of the place.

I think that Loveshack by The B52s is the perfect karaoke song.

It can be sung solo or as a boy/girl duet, it has that call and response 'bang bang bang on the floor baby' break down towards the end and totally lends itself to crowd participation if your bit of a showman.
Peppers and eggs? That's what I should have got.
