When I made my first post in this thread I weighed 194 and my running was off. Now I weigh 174 and am going for half an hour at a time, starting at 5mph and ending at 8mph.  Now my goal is to improve my personal best-run time for 5k. So, I’ll post back in this thread two months from now with an update.

I'll follow a schedule akin to this one: http://running.about.com/od/racetraining/a/intermediate5K.htm

Oof, I'm only just getting back to upping my speed after an injury, and it's going very slowly. I'm still not back up to the distance I was at, and speed is not quite there either. It's not that my former injury bothers me, really. I'm not sure what it is.

I achieved my 2009 goal of staying between 190 and 199 pounds.

Setting my sights lower for 2010.

After a dark, moderately crushing, croissant-filled winter, I am back on the wagon. Still had a cheesesteak for breakfast on Sunday but I'm cutting out my daily huge breakfasts, afternoon chocolates and weekly french fry binges. Oh, and I'm trying to move more. Here's hoping I can fit into my shorts in a few weeks.

Since November I've been trying to get back on the fitness wagon by rejoining the gym, but something has intervened periodically along the way. A mysterious, crippling, snow-shoveling-exacerbated back injury knocked me out for a month, and frequent bouts of Parenting Nonsense have gotten in the way too. But now I've gone every other day for the last two weeks or so, and I feel...sore.

I still kick ass to your first playlist, so I'm excited about more ass-kicking-power!

i'm not going to complain but i am going to eat less and exercise more so i don't jinx myself.

I've gained about 15 pounds since this thread started, but I'm not gonna complain about it.  I hide it pretty well.
