I started doing exercise and I'm going to start doing hallway yoga again today. I don't sleep 11 hours a day anymore!

I wonder, if you needed to lose weight, if steroids would help?  Just turn it all into muscle.

muscle weighs more, so no. But that's a great idea for getting in shape! Can you recommend a good steroid dealer?

Apparently fat can only be shrunk, it cannot be turned into muscle.

I'm totally down with some fitness. I gotten soft since settling down.

5'7", 161.8 pounds.

I'd like to get down to 140, which is where I was until late 2006 (I go home for Christmas for about two weeks each year, which inevitably results in a seven- or eight-pound gain; last year's still hasn't come off yet).

It finally stopped snowing last week, so I've started running again. I'm also giving up meals out until my birthday — partly to drop weight, partly to save money for Pitchfork tickets + gas for the 800-mile round trip.

its been a very stressful two weeks and ive missed the gym.  i mean, i miss the gym, like a person.  landlord stress, moving stress, and the excitement of TWO new friends has distracted me from my hard work (and cancelling out my previous workouts).

ive got to shake this.  ive got to get hungry healthy!

You will feel better if you go jogging or get a big dog so that you can have a dance party!

Did you find a roommate yet?

Congratulations on getting a roommate, although I'm devastated it can't be me! I had to start driving places in December and I've noticed that driving world is becoming just as small as the walking world. I cut the same person off about 3 times in a typical week and I think he knows me now. And once a horrible lady wouldn't let me over. I just knew she hurrying to the grocery store. What do you think? I was right about the grocery store even though the store was still a few miles away. Obviously, you can still make a lot of new friends when you're driving and, even though you can't have a traditional conversation with them, I found that a few simple gestures effectively communicate some very large ideas. It's important to maintain this kind of connection with the world around you when you are trying to be healthy.

If you have a large dog to dance with, you could spend a considerable amount of time with your record player while getting fit.

Running is good for listening to words.  Podcasts, audiobooks, and recorded lectures all make time fly.  Running is also the only time I can listen to hip hop and pay attention to the lyrics.

I listened to the whole unabridged version of "Atlas Shrugged" one summer when I used to run, not that you commies would ever do that.  :)

I tried many things to allow me to listen to music while I swim, and I finally found one last year that works.  It's called SwiMp3, and it plays through the bones in your head rather than all that mess with trying to seal it around your ears.  You can hear the music and lyrics clearly, but the very act of swimming is a bit noisy for books on mp3 or podcasts.

Only 132MB, but that's enough for a couple of 40-minute swims with no repeats, at least.  And it's not too obtrusive - I've only had "where do i get one of those" questions, as opposed to "hey, Future Robot, go to hell!"

Although when I get back to the neighborhood pool this summer, I may meet a different crowd.

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!
