I DVR a talk show ABOUT sports.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

It's the best way to watch a talk show, especially if you're only interested in one of the guests.

I agree with this. However, one of the reasons I don't watch talk shows anymore is because I don't find the guests to be particularly interesting or entertaining-save for Martin Short, Bill Murray, or Charles Grodin.

Yeah, it definitely depends on the pairing.  Since Conan has been off the air, Letterman is really the only one that has a rapport with anybody that I find interesting.  There are certain people, like Amy Sedaris and Dave, that I'll always watch.

Not a bad debut for Conan. Some of the bits were extremely funny. Though the interview with Will Ferrell wasn't all that great.

But I think Conan will do a good job as Tonight Show host.

I was disappointed that we didn't get to see Preparation-H Raymond or the FedEx Pope.

It was good to have him back but it definitely felt a little different.  I think the much bigger studio has a lot to do with that.  Feels less intimate now I guess.

Now this gal knows what she's talking about

Jennifer Lopez, Jet Li, and Matchbox Twenty. An evening to remember.

I loved the premiere last night. I'm looking forward to seeing sketches/segments with Andy Richter again and Norm McDonald is on the show next week, which should be great.

"Leno is simply one of the most punchable men you're ever likely to encounter - facially, a cross between Popeye the Sailor and a bloated throw pillow; vocally, a mosquito trapped inside a harmonica. But he's worth catching now and then, if only to see how many times a man can kiss arse within the space of 10 minutes without visibly bruising his lips."

I remember watching him on Letterman in the 80s and liking him OK.

Not a fan for the last 2 decades, though. I call it the 'Aerosmith Effect'.

Only 3 hours and 44 minutes until the next revolution in televised comedy begins.
