I would imagine he has changed a lot since the Big Black days. If you read the Big Black section in "Our Band Could Be Your Life" Albini is painted as quite the loudmouth jerk and had a reputation for it. I haven't heard the TSYA show but I will have to give it a listen. I like the guy, myself, jerk or no jerk.

im at work so i cant see the video, but as for the blog post, there seem to be so many missing points that i refuse to take it seriously.  not to mention, (im not bragging) i know (read: we're friends) my share of nationally recognized bands and have been forwarded articles about them to know whats true and whats not. 

im not saying none of that stuff is true, im just saying circumstance (amongst a million other things) can paint a completely different picture.

Fair enough. I'm sorry for calling him a jerk. I was basing my claim on that video. But I don't know him personally, so I'll take your word for it.

That's beyond a jerk move, that's a dick move. Punching a drunk kid who paid to see you and wants to dance around on stage is pretty low. Security (or his own friends) would have pulled him down within seconds if Jay hadn't cold-cocked the kid first. Ridiculous.

it's okay to be friends with jerks.  I have plenty of friends that i LOVE that I would definitely say are JERKS.  Every jerk on this list has legions of fans and friends. 

Also, I have no opinion on whether not not Jay Reatard is a jerk.
