There is this small pizza chain in Rhode Island called Pizza Hollywood. The name made me so angry every time I saw it that it took me years to add it up that the name is (I guess?) an incredibly bad take off of Planet Hollywood ("Pizza Hollywood. Get it? Get it?"). When I realized that that was what (I think) they were getting at, it kind of made sense, but not really. Not at all. It's so dumb and infuriating. I mean, just listen to their website: http://pizzahollywood.com/Home.html

Christ, is that over on 8th or 9th? I think I"ve seen that place.

It's on Court St by Carroll Park. It's the place that never has anything in it and has perpetually "just run out" of soy milk.

Okay, I was way off. It looks like one of those weird bars in the "new" Hell's Kitchen near the Port Authority.

You're right!!! It looks like it should be between a bar that gives away a hot dog with every drink and a failing tapas restaurant.

Haha! It does look like one of those places. I work on 38th and 8th.

Passed a sign shop on Fairfax Ave. here in L.A. today called Signtist. This name is so stupid that they had to make sure everyone got the "joke" by changing the color of the neon for S-i-g-n (in red) and t-i-s-t (in yellow).
Fresh never tasted so good!

This is more bad graphic design than bad naming, but there's a barber shop by me called "On Point" and their logo is a vaguely-PE-like guy's head in some crosshairs, which is not the most positive association I can think of.  I can't find a picture online, but if I can remember I'll take one.  Someone was actually shot not far from it recently.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

I can't tell if this is bad or good but there's an exercise place I always see called Sweat Shop.

I know this is a little late, but I just heard the 6 hour show and wanted to chime in! I used to live in Mesa, Arizona (a suburbu of Phoenix) where there is a large mormon population. There was a movie rental place that rented highly edited versions of popular movies called Clean Flicks. The name isnt really the bad part, they were located in a small storefront in a strip mall and didnt have much room for their sign, it was all crunched together and in capital letters. When the sign was lit up at night the L and the I were too close together and it look like it said something else... I'll keep it at a hard G and let you figure out what it looked like!

I used to work a lot in the area of Route 18 and Route 1 around East Brunswick and always laughed at the store called "Mainly Baby." It always looked like it said "Manly Baby" to me.

I saw this unfortunately named business the last time I was in London; it's on Kensington High Road, near Hyde Park.
