Since I can't watch hulu from where I am, I had to look elsewhere for the Jimmy Fallon clip. Just watched it: very good stuff. They nailed it.

I've listened to the album three times since I bought it last night. I love it and can't wait to see them on the 27th at the Troubadour. Bottled in Cork is really great and I also really like One Polaroid a Day.

I'm somewhat of a newcomer to Ted Leo's music as I've only started really getting into it all over the past few months or so, but I had to post to say how awesome the new album is. I can't stop listening to it. So many stand out tracks its hard to pick a favorite. Also, I got it on iTunes so I got the bonus track "Everthing Gets Interrupted" which, if I may, completely rocked my socks off.

Does anyone know what marathon the version of "That's Entertainment" is from? 2007?

Yes.  He plays Rock 'n' Roll Dreams'll Come Through on that too, and the awesome Laura Cantrell is the co-host, and does a couple duets.  The whole thing is great.

It's true.

It's a very cohesive album (except for "Tuberculoids Arrive in Hop". That song is straight-up weird, but who said weird was a bad thing?).

And what's with all the Living With The Living hate? That album's great.

I'm not sure. There's a thread about Mr. Leo on the Sound Opinions message board where it's pretty much agreed upon that LWTL is his worst album. I'm not familiar with all of his early work so I can't compare, but I think LWTL is a solid album.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

Agreed. I think it's one of his best. Certainly his most diverse.

Seconded. Or thirded. Whatever. It's very good. Still gets a bunch of play from me.

I love LwtL, but I would agree it's his weakest as an album. There's not really a unifying production or anything like that. The songs are some of his best, though and I still listen to it pretty damn regularly. My favorite remains Tyranny but I think Bricks may be up there pretty high. I was listening to 8 AM All Day the other day and that's really a phenomenal album, too. "great wall of china" is one of the best songs of all time. Anyway, Ted rules.
