Is there a "Best Julie Moment" category?

I'd suggest "Did you lie in the empty swimming pool to see what it'll be like when you die... or is that weird?" when Tom's telling his fantasy basketball in L.A. story.

Best call nominee: Brian from Brooklyn (I hope that's the correct name) with the story about the guy trying to steal the Jet magazine photos from the library.

I agree. I think this might also qualify as a rookie of the year contender.

That was Mike from Brooklyn; I think he's been calling a few years now?

Remember how he couldn't stop his leg?

Even though Martin Short was a total Grade-A Class Act, I might say the best guest of the year was Jon Glaser. The debut of his hit character Google and discussion of DracSearch was monumental.

Best Julie Moment: same show as the Taupin call I think. Julie discusses her on/off relationship, the prospect of getting drunk and trick her way back into her S.O.'s life (or something), and breaks out into a super weird voice when she says "but I don't want to", which makes Tom laugh. Then some ALF talk.

I speak for at least one other FOT when I say the best caller of the year was the guy in Newark, CA who kept describing very common Mexican restaurant dishes to Tom in great detail.

"No, you see, a quesadilla is when..."

Larry from Newark...CALIFORNIA! The call was on the 9/29/09, starts right before the 1 hour, 9 minute mark. Makes it almost a full three minutes. I'm afraid he won't have a chance in the Caller of the Year category, so I would like to nominate him for Most Delusional Caller as well.

From the same show (in fact, Larry from Newark...CALIFORNIA! proclaims Venture Bros. "the best cartoon ever" and then asks what time "that guy" is going to be on later), James Urbaniak should be in contention for Best Guest. He got right into the spirit of the show, introduced the Bayonne Bubble and matched wits with Mike.
This may be the year I will disappear.

Worst Call of the Year might well be Spike's call when Martin Short was on.

Worst Caller:

Michael Kastelic from The Cynics, I remember 2 bad calls from him. First was the g-20 update. While I think many of us were interested in the protests, and would have appreciated an update, his description was extremely dry. Then there was his plea for a show on during the 6 hour show in November. I can't find the actual call, but when he was nominating himself he had absolutely nothing interesting to say.

Yeah, he's called at least 3 times that I can remember (thanks for the correction on the first one, AC. I couldn't remember, though I know his twitter name). His call about trying to get out of a speeding ticket by having his sister pretend to be sick is also great, though I can't remember if it was this year.

Also, if a "best caller voice" category is introduced, he deserves recognition there as well.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I don't know that it really fits into any of the categories mentioned so far, but Larry & Laurie's radio date deserves some sort of recognition or reward.

Yeah, I"m wondering if there's some kind of category needed like "Best Sequence" but with a better title than that.

The radio date would be a good nominee, as would the Juggalos, Get Mets-merized, Julie's show, Piranha 3D talk, etc.

Anything where it's a chunk of the show (but not a call, or a Wurster bit, or an entire guest's time on air, etc) that has a B, an M, and an E.

Remember how he couldn't stop his leg?

amiright??

Caleb (the EXPLOSION kid) needs a nomination for something, at the very least.

That was his name, right?
