In case you haven't heard, Paul F. Tompkins will be performing TWO SHOWS (at 8 pm and 10:30 pm) at Minglewood Hall's 1884 Lounge on Saturday, March 20 in beautiful Memphis, Tennessee!

Paul's famous "Tompkins 300" scheme will bring him to Memphis, but all the Facebook creeps who said they'd turn out ain't buyin' tickets! Come out and show your support for PFT and awesome comedy by purchasing tickets for this exciting event: http://bigfunnyproductions.com/cgi-bin/online/storepro.php

We all know that a Paul F. Tompkins appearance in the southern portion of the US is rarer than hen's teeth, so make Paul want to come back soon by packing the joint for both shows! You should come, if only to check out his awesome dress sense! If both shows sell out, Paul has promised to wear a bolo tie during his set!

I, for one, will be attending both performances, so maybe we could even have an unofficial FOT meetup! But you have to come!!!!

Do the right thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about all the exclamation points.

What's the venue like? Is it going to be a rock show standing deal or are they going to have tables?

I believe there will be tables. PFT would want us to be able to sit.

i dont think i'll be at both shows, but i know i am going to one of these shows.  times are tough, Matt (seriously, have you been to Memphis?), but i know i'm standing by my promise to buy a ticket.

not to mention, it wasn't until recently we found out that tickets were on sale.  trust me, i'm pushing this to everyone i know.  if anything, i'll be there and i'll buy you a drink.

see you there.

i've been trying to tweet the crap out of this.  the last i heard, none of the tickets were selling (despite the support on FB).

nonetheless, i bought tickets to both shows.  i will probably have a beer+grilled cheese across the street at P&H or merely a drink next door at murphy's- either way, i'm drinking.  who's up for a FOT meetup?

PS please be RT'ing and tweeting this info to all the memphis/AR/MS tri-state mid-south area friends you know.

There must be an explanation for this. Maybe everybody's planning to buy their tickets at the door or something.

I was able to convince a friend to come to both shows. Two more tickets sold! WE CAN DO THIS.

i went to both of these shows and they were great!  i laughed so hard my cheeks were sore.  i didn't meet any FOT (or Paul F. Tompkins because i'm a scaredy cat), but the shows were phenomenal and i recommend everybody attend when he comes to your town.

i can't say enough about how awesome PFT's performance was- what a nite.

It was a wonderful night. I haven't had that much fun in forever. I DID get to meet Mr. Tompkins after the second show, and let me tell you: What a gentleman. He was so gracious and nice to me and my friend. He's officially gone from "Dude I Admire" to "New Personal Hero".

BaronVonTito - I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you! I saw on Twitter that you were in the front row for the first show. I was too! So close! We WILL meet someday. I am planning to come up to Memphis for the next three weekends - to see Reigning Sound this weekend, King Khan & The Shrines the week after, and Black Lips/Box Elders the week after that. Surely our paths will cross at one of these events!

I am at Twitter under the name @newgroundhog.

I'd love to meet up, but be forewarned: I am uninteresting, nervous and weirdly alienating. I'm kinda like Greenberg.

Memphis FOT have eluded me more than once in the last two weeks.  what the crap!

saw the reigning sound at nocturnal saturday nite; i'm aware of a few FOT attending, couldnt spot any because i have no idea what anyone looks like.  so...i'm going to utilize this thread to plan a memphis FOT meetup, maybe something before tomorrow nite's show?  i know it's REALLY late notice but i'm throwing a date out.  any time this week or before king khan this weekend works (for me).

any ideas MEMFOT?
