Back in high school (middle/late 90's), two of my friends were hanging out at Taco Bell when they were approached by a woman from TB HQ, who wanted them to try some new foods. As 16-17 year old males, they fit the Taco Bell demo like a glove.
My one friend was asked to try a thing resembling a Seven Layer Burrito - I believe it was merely stuft with more crap the the usual 7LB. He said it was alright, but not memorable.
But my second friend was asked to try a dish dubbed the "Mountain Dew Burrito." It was also much like a 7LB, but the soft tortilla was made to taste citrus-like; in other words, it was supposed to be like you were eating Mountain Dew. Imagine how delicious that would be - a 7LB nestled in the flavor of Mountain Dew. According to him, it was "the best thing [he] ever ate". However, the Mountain Dew Burrito only lives in the memories of my friends, as it was never heard from again.
But if TB is delving into seafood, you'd think they would have no problem serving something that tastes like Mountain Dew.
