Ooo I love any Frank Capra movies. They are great. I spent all last spring semester writing research papers on Capra and his films in my Writing and Film class.
My favorites:

It Happened One Night
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
You Can't Take It with You

and my very favorite is the vastly underrated American Madness.

But seriously. Someday I'll post my reasons why Robocop is one of my favorite films of all time. I'm a huge movie person, I love really well crafted films that are meaningful and deep and insightful. Robocop has all of that and is stone cold bad ass.

I watched Robocop last summer for the first time in at least 10 years and was surprised how well it holds up.

Not going to repeat anybody else, but there are some great ones on here. But the list is sadly missing:

Robocop
Wild Zero
Crank 2: High Voltage
36 Chamber Of Shaolin (aka Shaolin Master Killer)
Battle Royale
Big Trouble In Little China
A Boy And His Dog (aka, I kid you not, Psycho Boy And his Killer Dog)
Snatch
Six String Samurai

I tried watching Crank 1 on USA a few weeks ago... I don't get how anybody can watch the movies they show edited. I hear good and bad things about the Crank movies. Is the sequel better?

You know how some directors will make a 'love letter' to their fans? Being asked back for Crank 2, this director decided to write a letter bomb. It shows such distain for it's own frat-boy, beat-em-up audience that it becomes transcendent. It has the main character on fire, kissing his girlfriend to the tune of REO Speedwagon. Fuckin' aye.
Who ever heard of a dinosaur with a head full of grease and an out of tune guitar?

Skidoo

I want to see that but Netflix doesn't have it right now. Harry Nilsson did the soundtrack, but the soundtrack sounds like it's made for the movie, not for just listening to.

Skidoo is a one-of-a-kind movie, to say the least.

(At the end, Harry Nilsson sings the credits.)

Meh, I thought it was your average, run of the mill,  Jackie-Gleason-tripping-on-LSD, Groucho-Marx-playing-a-character-named-God, Carol-Channing-stripping-to-her-underwear fare.

Only the credits? I know the rest is instrumental, but I thought he wrote the whole thing.

Yes, he wrote the whole soundtrack, but he sings out the credits as they roll at the end. That's what I meant.

A Shot in the Dark
The Miracle of Morgan's Creek and other Preston Sturges films
Trouble in Paradise

Few contemporary movies fit my own idea of "pure" fun.  That is, something that isn't mediocre or outright lousy but is relatively free of cynicism, neurosis, angst, irony, etc.  Fantastic Mr. Fox is a rare exception.

Another contemporary one that i thought was fun is Happy Go Lucky.

I haven't seen it since its hard to find but I've always thought Leningrad Cowboys Go America looked fun.

Samurai Cop

How could a samurai be a cop? That movie sounds completely unrealistic.

- Fantasy Mission Force

A borrowed copy of this has been sitting on my TV for a while waiting to get around to it. I am very excited to carve out some time for it this weekend.
I'm warning you with peace and love.

Duh, it's the other way around - he's a cop who is also a samurai. Crack a Robert Z'Dar-co-starring 80's b-movie much? Cause it don't sound like you do.

Did anyone tell them that they weren't stage acting?
