fonpr, I have one suggestion:

Could you make your voice a little higher in the mix? And maybe turn the "voice modulator" effects down just a notch?

Agreed. Also I just woke from a dream about Fredericks and his podcast. I don't remember any details but it was either the best dream or worst dream I ever had.

I am experimenting with different techniques for assembling the podcasts .  iTunes is lossy and noisy yet essential..  I am still working the bugs out.

It's alright, Mah, I'm only trying.

Just heard it with my Best Show buddy, who brought over a couple of Marlboro lights to spark while listening and we both found it to be WAY FAR OUT!  Now we're gonna listen to it again while watching The Wizard Of Oz.

I'm curious to know which episode?

And how it turns out for you, Fletch?

Are you watching the 15 minute version of The Wizard of Oz?

I play guitar as well, Fredericks.

I have to admit to not understanding episode 4.

You probably had the head-phones on backward.

I listened to Jesse Thorpe's interview with Jon Glaser today:

http://maximumfun.org/sound-young-america/comedy-writer-and-performer-jon-glaser-interview-sound-young-america

... and that show featured this clip from "Delocated":

http://video.adultswim.com/delocated/napping-sounds-with-jon.html

It occurred to me that Jon's spooky call-and-response voice multitracking is sorta similar to the Fredericks Mind Thing. Tom asserted that FONPRs podcast is without precedent, and I tend to agree ... but these "napping sounds" are an eerie analogue, of sorts.

P.S. That's Steve Albini at the beginning of the video.

Fredericks:

Have you ever listened to Ken Nordine's Word Jazz? Your conversations with yourself remind me a bit of himi.

Did you know there's a New Port Richey-ite with a new book out?: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/18/books/review/Handler-t.html

Yes and yes, Spalding.

I have loved Nordine's work for decades.  I still vaguely remember his voice from commercials when I was a kid.

I've read several reviews of the book and it sounds interesting.  I understand sinkholes play an integral role.
