George Saunders.

He's a great one.

I've always loved Glaser, but Delocated and his book have really pushed him to a higher level.

Most I would list have already been mentioned or are obvious (Tom & Jon, PFT, Patton, etc.). I know some people dislike Scott Aukerman but I love everything about him.

Also, Will Forte. Specifically as Ted Turner.

David Mitchell and Robert Webb are both very funny. Mitchell is especially good on panel shows and his podcast. HOORAY FOR YOUTUBE AND ROUGE BRITISH UPLOADERS!

Hannibal Buress excites me.
Also, a new discovery for me that I've only seen little bits of, but that I LOVE is Pete Holmes.  I just wanna hug that dude.

Doogie Horner, Chip Chantry, Aaron Hertzog and The Feeko Brothers and Secret Pants.

These are all Philly-based comics who I'm good friends with.

Doogie's the most well-known nationally. He was on America's Got Talent last year and became sort of an overnight hit. He's the dude who was about to get booed off the stage but started insulting the crowd which then cheered him on. He also wrote a book called "Everything Explained Through Flowcharts" which is great (I helped him with a few and am even thanked -- one of the true honors of my life). They show up on Boing Boing a lot. He also designed the book cover for Sense and Sensibilities and Sea Monsters. He does a few out-of-town shows and is totally worth seeing.

Chip Chantry's one of the best comics anywhere. He's actually recording an album in a few weeks at Helium in Philly. I think this has a shot to get some notoriety. Chip's great since he looks a little like one of the Karate Kid villains -- typical All-American -- but is completely warped. He also does a lot of more alt-comedy around Philly which is great, since it lets him embrace his internal weirdness even further. He also does a few out-of-town gigs.

Aaron Hertzog's my partner-in-crime on The Holding Court Podcast and frequently mocked by Tom whenever I call in. I really can't say enough good things about him as a person and and a comic. He's the hardest working comic I know in Philly -- he writes more than anyone else and I've never seen him do the same set, and I've seen him a few dozen times. He's starting to get confident enough to try his hand in other cities which he should've started doing three years ago!

The Feeko Brothers are a sketch duo. If there's a more unique sketch group in the country, I'd like to see it. I don't know if they have anything on video but if they really busted their ass, I could totally see them getting to a Tim & Eric type of level. They're seriously THAT good. If you doubt me, I will try my best to personally force you to watch their material. Everyone in the weird Philly comedy scene we have swears by them as the best.

EXCEPT that Secret Pants has a case to make, as well. Secret Pants are kind of the godfathers of Philly comedy. They've been around longer than anyone else. They've also had a bunch of stuff go viral -- they have a video out called "Bush or Batman" in which they read people quotes and quiz people if the statement was said by George W. Bush or 60s era Batman. They also have a video called Juggalo Sunday which was endorsed by ICP themselves!

Also, my brother. I'm frequently mocked by Tom for bringing him up (although, I'll note, Tom's the one who always brings him up whenever I call in). This is out of a sense of familial love, obviously, but he's pretty great and is really great at pushing the boundaries of what can be done in a comedy setting.

Me too! Am I the only person on earth that laughed all the way through MacGruber??? My favorite Will Forte thing is the politician Tim Calhoun.

Mine was when he did that comercial as a country singer dueting with Kristen Wigg. I remember the bit vaguely but distintly remember him holding a note for like 20 seconds and his face turns red and veins bulge and his head starts shaking spastically. It was the hardest I laughed at SNL ever.

If anyone has a link to that it'd be much appreciated.

I'll see your "MacGruber" and raise you a "Brothers Solomon".  Will Forte just kills me.

Brett Gelman.  I re-watched all the Eagleheart episodes recently and he makes me laugh almost every time he opens in his mouth and he's easily my favorite CBB/CDR guest.

On the TV - Stephen Colbert, Amy Poehler, Jon Glaser.

Rob Delaney is super funny on twitter.

Agree with all of the above.  I used to love Glaser when he was on Late Night.  I've never heard any of Rob Delaney's comedy, but his twitter feed is hilarious.

I fold. But I didn't give that movie more than five minutes, I don't think. The titles sequence made me hate it from the get-go. I should try again sometime.

I loved MacGruber, which was a surprise because I never liked the sketch. But he's also been great on 30 Rock and Tim & Eric and everything else I've seen him in.

amiright??

Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation is one of my all-time favorite tv characters ever.

Current favorite stand-ups include: Patton, PFT, Doug Benson, Kyle Kinane, Dan Naturman (his delivery is just so funny and great) and of course Marc Maron is awesome.
