And Hugman- I don't dislike you.  I remember exchanging PM's about it, and I don't remember what I said at the time, but I really have no ill will  toward you and I'm sorry if it's come across that way in the past.

I was just funnin'.

Piece of gum from the bottom of his shoe?

The saga continues!

http://www.latimes.com/sports/sns-tsn-afn-jefferson-johns-lsu-p1-20110826,0,4289784.story

Baton Rouge, LA — LSU has suspended quarterback Jordan Jefferson and linebacker Josh Johns indefinitely after both were asked to turn themselves in to police on Friday in connection with a bar fight last weekend.

Head coach Les Miles gave no timetable for a potential return for the players.

"We will continue to cooperate with the authorities in an effort to find out exactly what took place during the incident," Miles said in a statement Friday.

"As sad as this incident is, it's important that we learn from this and that we take away a valuable lesson. This has weighed on all of us. It's time for us to come together as a team and focus on what we are here to do."

The arrest warrants issued Friday reportedly accuse each player of a felony charge of second-degree battery.

Baton Rouge police investigated a fight in the early morning hours of Friday, August 19 outside Shady's Bar near the campus of LSU. In addition to Jefferson and Johns, receiver Jarvis Landry and lineman Chris Davenport were asked to give statements to police.

According to the initial police statement, the fight started after an individual blew his horn to move a crowd out of his way in the parking lot.

I would think step one of keeping your players out of trouble is making sure they don't frequent any place called Shady's.

We are heading toward another snoozefest rematch of SEC heavyweights.  Man, I hope we get something even less thrilling than the 9-6 game where neither team even tried to score.

I understand why there are no great college basketball teams left, but why are there no great teams in college football?  Why is it so hard to finish a cupcake 12-game schedule unbeaten?

The other BCS conferences should just close up shop. What's the point?

On the bright side, Pitt is only one win away from potentially locking up a spot in the Beef O'Brady's Bowl.
