I bought this today. What a snooze. When an album by 'The Monsters of FOLK"'s first track is backed by a drum machine...ew boy.

I'll give it another listen but my first impression is the lack of one.

Even in my endorsement, I must admit that it is a slow starter. I think that drum machine send a message to people expecting a traditional folk album. It was unnecessary, because the band-name is clearly tongue-in-cheek.

I want to see Pete Seeger jump out and take an axe to that drum machine.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

UI - Lifelike

Really awesome instrumental stuff. Does anyone else know this band? A friend turned me onto Answers and I've been hooked since. I'd love to find some of the EPs.

Writer's Voice podcast:Meth Epidemic In America’s Heartland and Thoreau’s Bad Day   59:03   9/29/09   We interview Nick Reding about how the methamphetamine epidemic is eating away at rural America. His book is METHLAND: The Death and Life of an American Small Town. And John Pipkin tells us about his debut novel WOODSBURNER.

Maybe we shouldn't burn down the Meth Labs?

To be fair, there was kind of a meth-shaped hole in rural America just waiting to be filled.
