Wasn't sure where to put this, so thought I would drop it in here. If you're not following me on Twitter, but are curious about what music old guys like, check out this link.

As for the obligatory following the thread note, I am listening to Bruce Cockburn's Speechless, and just finished Alice Coltrane's Translinear Light.

I've finally gotten around to "American Water" by Silver Jews and am kicking myself for not doing so sooner.
More specifically, I'm listening to "Buckingham Rabbit" right this second.

"Boys and Girls" by Julie Klausner. Been stuck in my head all day. Trying to fight fire with fire.  Get it out of my head by listening to it. So far it's not working. BING BONG!

The No Age remix (b-side) of the Fudged Up song "No Epiphany" (a-side).

It's...uh, well, it sounds like they had fun doing whatever it is they did...

Kind of sounds like an instrumental sonic youth noise jam (think end of "The Diamond Sea") with the occasional hardcore screams thrown in.

File it under "oddity" than "good" or "bad".

(my taste in bedtime music is weird)

Already had a Twitter conversation about this, but talk about a weird find (at a thrift store in Ithaca).  I had no idea it existed.  It's mostly songs that were later reissued on VU and Another View, but with 70s-glam style production a la Transformer.  Two members of Yes are even credited on it.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Rick Wakeman was a very popular hired gun until he joined Yes. He's all over rock, in surprising places.

I've gone through the Beat Happening boxset twice today...it seemed somehow appropriate for a sunny yet cold day.
