Edgar Wright on The Treatment with Elvis Mitchell.

Excellent interview.

My download keeps cutting off just as he's talking about the attempted US remakes of Spaced.

I'm on the 'W' section of my collection.

Wilderness, Wilderness - like John Lydon, Savage Republic and a bit of Explosions in the Sky (but darker).

Wildildlife. Six - sprawling, experimental sludge with Crazy Horse tendencies.

Vivian Girls "Tell the World", reminds me of "52 Girls" by The B-52s.

Vivian Girls is the best band name ever.

I'm listening to "50,000 Watts of Goodwill" in celebration of my favorite Dischord Band, N.O.U.

What. A. Song. 'Maniac Dragstrip' too. Damn, that album is just so well-pitched, including the jazz time-out sessions.

A podcast of Mudd Up with DJ Rupture.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

He actually makes a crack about that, and he doesn't talk much, saying something like "Look, it's an acoustic guitar, but I can plug it in." I'm not exactly rushing to the store to pick up his new record, but he was less one-note than the Wallflowers stuff had led me to believe.
