Mike's acting job in the house fire scene with Chad Raisin was by far his best yet.  Three and a half stars!

the thing thats frustrating about this modern age

Oh, that's not all that's frustrating about it.

But the fact that not all of us are watching Breaking Bread at the same time has to be up there.

Jon from Maplewood = Shark hero and my hero

I am touched by people's comments.  Thank you.

Never trust DJ Eric around a sand shark.
My dad, who spends his retired days walking at the beach telling tourists that catch & release fishing is the way to go, loved your story. It was the first time he didn't politely nod, pretending to be interested, when I told him a story from The Best Show.

Aw shucks. I'm speechless. When I tell my parents about things that happened on The Best Show, they tilt their heads like confused dogs.

;D ;D ;D ... this is a great description of the TBSOWFMU cult we find ourselves enmeshed within.

2) Zach just stinks. I am so sorry I targeted him all those months back. He just won't let go. Just don't call in for a while, man.

He'll never get it. I'm sure he thinks himself to be cute and clever. Tom was very gracious by taking his call and trying to be human with him.  But Zilch is a solipsistic phoney baloney; his insincere apology, constant plugging that dumb movie and rambling on about his politics* despite the fact that The Best Show is not really the platform for that talk all go to show this guy has no respect, lacks character and a sense of humor.

*although if I stopped groaning and actually listened I may agree with it- or some of it. But take it to Majority Report or Young Turks.

Zilch does not understand that a real apology (as opposed to an "OK, OK, let's start over so I can have a clean slate upon which to start being exactly as obnoxious as I was before" apology) contains three crucial elements: a restatement in the apologizer's own words of what exactly he or she did wrong; an understanding acknowledgement of how one's behavior negatively affected the apologizee; and a statement of what one intends to do to prevent the offense from reoccurring. Politicians need to learn this too; without all three of these, "apologies" are basically self-justifying horseshit.

The point where he said "Everyone's creative!" made me cringe the most.  No, they're not, you idiot.

It was kind of a funny rollercoaster of short lived redemption.

'This Show Sucks.'

'I'm really sorry, Tom, let's start over.'

My "favorite" call was him complaining about commercialism on the Kurt Braunohler show when all he did was promote his junk on the show.

Kinda like on his first call, when he claimed that "Mit Hamine" was neither a better nor a worse band name than "The Rolling Stones" or "The Kinks." Our Zach is nothing if not egalitarian (at least insofar as it allows him to claim an equal footing with his creative superiors).

Skeevy's gleeful contempt of Mike.

It was blue, but I laughed a lot at Skeevy's tale of the Carol Burnett show.

Best: "Bret from Beat Happening"  cracked me up. (I love Beat Happening and I've even seen Bret's band D+ a couple of times)

Worst: that creep from Virginia plugging his movie.
