Also, while I am probably among Gary That Squirrel's biggest fans, I'm not 100% certain his brand of offbeat irreverant bean-busting would be the appropriate approach to take with a political heavyweight such as Mr. Cain. To my mind, there is only one felt member of the Best Show family who has the gravitath, the theriouthnethth of purpothe, the focuth and the commitment to a cauthe required to get beyond the meaningless soundbites and move towards concentrated discussion of the real issues affecting New Jerseyians, Americans, humans, and puppets alike.

As a Canadian prone to watching garbage afternoon television, Tom's mention of Steven and Chris had me in tears.

Yes!

Best: "In the calendar year 2012, will Gary tha Squirrel talk with Herman Cain" ("Squirreltics with Gary tha Squirrel") and "The next morning I woke up and saw a raccoon holding his stomach"

Worst: Sorry Spike. Not one of your best performances.
I actually thought Spike's call was pretty good.  Denzel Washington would play a great Spike. ;D

Upon further review I owe Spike an apology. There were a couple of turf-outs later in the show that were much worse.

My favorite moment was Roy and Tom talking about The Who's late period.

Quote
Roy: It's got the tightest grooves on it. The flattest drum sounds.

Tom: Sure, and that's what everybody loved, those flat drum sounds.

Roy: Everyone loved The Who when they were at their most contained.

I haven't listened to those records in 25 years but this gave me the snorting giggles.

The volume of 'Hail to the Chief' was perfect, then PBR. It was a mastercall. 'Borrowed plates' for gas rationing. So hilarious.

Sorry, did I miss something?  I usually have my spoof-o-metre turned up to 11 so if Tim H was making fun of himself/us I apologise.

My mother-in-law used to watch Alan Partridge believing it was a genuine chat show.  Comments like '..she's been on before hasn't she?' and '..did you see that man you like shoot his guest?' made watching the show even more enjoyable.

I will listen again and see if I missed some of the nuances.
Dude, I still can't tell if you're joking. Either way, you made my day.

The person who paid good money for a Papa John's pizza to be delivered is pretty much the kind for whom the term "cobag" as applied to a human was invented.

In these post-Sandy times, you couldn't figure out a better use for your money than supporting a Randian blob who penalizes his employees for Obama's reelection to send Tom a foodstuff he despises on every level, huh?

Spike saying "I don't talk to mannequins."

I lost it.

Can we nominate multiple people for the least funny person in America? If so, it has to be that collective of wads known as the AV Club comments section.

Best Moment: Tom's adventures of a time-lost Grateful Dead being hunted down by a militia of old-timey Americans.

Worst Moment: We didn't get at least 20 minutes of Tom's adventures of a time-lost Grateful Dead being hunted down by a militia of old-timey Americans.
This may be the year I will disappear.

On the Two And A Half Men kid:
"You hate your kid, putting him in a wierd situation like that. You got Charlie Sheen breathing his Jack Daniels breath all over you. You're worrying about your Social Studies quiz. This guy's ankle bracelet is beeping."

I laughed so hard my cheeks hurt.

I don't think I've heard Tom lose it that much after a JW call in a long time.
