Ike, you're my new Pep Pep.

OH MAMMA!   OH MAMMA!

Seriously, I tried very, very hard to explain the show to a friend last night.  I. Could. Not. Do. It.

Absurd, I guess?  Where do you go from there?

such a great, quick and punchy Wurster call this week, too. I especially liked the onomatopoeia of "jzheuuught!" - the sound of pants being ripped off, bahah, and also how darren is in charge of "aqua-sitions". s'gold!

I always explain that it's comedy comes mainly from editing as opposed to writing.  Almost like editing slapstick.

"Shark harasses people"

"Doug is miserable"

I lost it!  :D

Also, is this the first time Tom has ever said "Wurster" on the air?

William Wurster the architect?

I believe Tim and Eric's Awesome Show....is the greatest thing ever, of all times, on TV.  EVER.  I have yet to find any worth or value in any of their interviews, either print, audio, or visually.

Forgive the tangent, but I'm guessing you didn't see them on Poolside Chats w/ Neil Hamburger, which KILLED ME.

Yes, speaking to the Yellow Chair was awesome, although I think he forgot to ask me which "device" I wanted to have included in my prize pack.

MFK had a very good first night, by the way, all things considered. She's a giant fan of the morphine pump. Thanks for everyone thinking about her.

Was there much content in the show other than pledge related?  I was only able to tune in for a short time around when I pledged and all I heard was pledge talk, and the start of a conv with Philly Boy Roy.

tom spends a lot of time thanking people, which is a plus, guests walk in, he plays tracks from stuff he's giving away, gets everyone riled up to call in and hand over their hard-earned money even though they have families to feed and bills to pay and they owe the government.

but in the end...TOM WINS! and you feel good about it all.

not really. the marathon shows are almost strictly Tom asking for pledges and thanking people.  I don't remember last year even having any bits like the PBR stuff, but I could be wrong.

But it's still worth it for some great gems he comes up with riffing on people's comments like the "I haaaaaaate that guy" Kevin Smith stuff last nite.  Also, I'm pretty sure he called a dude Honey.
