Don't know if I missed this or if you guys already talked about it, but do we know the Led Zeppelin book that Tom was talking about? Sounds pretty awesome. :)

I think the ban is a good idea. I am a next-day archive listener and I never really feel like I can contribute so I don't know how fun it is to call. But the thing I love the most about the shows are the topics and when Tom churns through calls. So obviously I'm not really into the long calls by regulars. When they are on-topic it's great, but rambling, off-topic calls filled with a bunch of overthanking and inside jokes are boring for the listeners. I hope I said that as innocently as I mean it.

I love the regular callers but I think it's good to open the door to others. Who knows when the next Mit Hamine is going to be on hold. I may even get in on the action, as soon as I find out if the ban applies to irregular callers.

I think you're right. The regular callers tend to drone on about the minutiae of their personal lives. Still can't find the Mit Hamine LP anywhere though. What a great call.

Is 'The Ban' the biggest Best Show shake-up since 'The New Regime' in 2008?

Two classic hang ups:

2. "What's the name of your podcast?" "Yeah, it's called the-" *click*

Yeah, that was rough. But it was a good hangup. Glad I could help in some small way.

The guy from Kearny was like a real-life Larry da Perv. Except not as gracious and discreet.

Yeah, part of Larry's charm is that he actually is pretty polite and deferential despite his name.

I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I wonder if Tom's new fixation with fathers (Doddy, Todd) has to do with developments in his complicated relationship with his own papa?

Tom's conversation with his dad in the Philly Boy Roy part of the DVD is one of the funniest things to me. I love that his dad hangs up on him.

"that's not in the spirit of black friday" was definitely my favorite quote from this episode.
