I liked when Mike distilled the complexities of the Bible down to "God was a mean dude".

He also identified the two most important books.

I liked when Mike distilled the complexities of the Bible down to "God was a mean dude".

Evelyn Waugh wrote in a letter about the time he got Randolph Churchill to read the entire Bible on a bet: "He has never read any of it before and is hideously excited; keeps reading quotations aloud... or merely slapping his side & chortling 'God, isn't God a shit!'"
"Another thing that interests me about The Eagles is that I hate them." -- Robert Christgau

Mike was killing it all night. The moments he picked to give the phone number were inspired.

I am listening the "AP Mike Appreciation" show again from earlier this year. It's so great and so is AP MIKE!

Somebody could say something along these lines every week, and it still wouldn't be enough.

During this week's Depravity's Rainbow, at 1:18:10, AP Mike said to Therese, about greeting potential trick-or-treaters, "I very well may have a costume--hint, hint--by that time."

On the July 16, 2013 Best Show, at 2:33:31, Tom said to AP Mike, "You can be what Captain Bayonne needs: a supervillain." And on August 6, 2013, from 43:23 to 44:00 on the wfmu.org pop‑up player, Tom alludes, "...every hero needs a villain, and the idea of Mike becoming a foil to Captain Bayonne... I've heard some rumblings. If you think you've heard this show get weird, get ready guys."

Are these statements related? We'll have to stay tuned.

Mike's timing is really good, that's true, Charlie Watts-esque. He's really got a great "non-style" style and the beats before the phone numbers are a perfect example.

Mike's thumbs down review of the Bible was hilarious... well, just the fact that he actually reviewed it was good enough.

Only thirty minutes of Depravity's Rainbow got posted on iTunes. Can I have the rest?

I always ask in the same thread (or post the link if I can figure it out myself).
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I asked Mike directly on Twitter. Even though he follows 100,000 people, he answered me right away. He's a good guy.
