The Garrett Family Thanksgiving is now one of the all time bits of the show. It came out of nowhere and it will always be funny. I also have been randomly saying "AW C'MON GUYS" to myself throughout the week and it's just as funny. Long Live The Jokerina.

Found the episode:
http://thebestshow.libsyn.com/patton-oswalt-toms-brother-ron-scharpling-lisa-jane-persky-gary-the-squirrel-hayes-and-sean-from-hollywood-handbook-sound-collage

I guess that's technically not him calling in...

Oh ok I remember that episode now, that was actually better than a call in.

Did The Best Show call it? Larry David was on SNL Saturday.

Julie Klausner losing it from basically as soon as she sat down was the BEST. She is a goddess and anything she does on the show adds a mile of mirth. Tom cracks her up just by opening his mouth, it seems.

Phillip from San Diego calling about Steven Universe was an interesting bit of Steven Universe fandom coming in to the show. I'm a big SU fan, but I wasn't familiar with the hardcore Steven Universe fans until some of them were in the Reddit AMA.

Good thing!

Loving all of the Rage Against the Machine in the sound collage.

I will definitely second this. Philip was a delight and in glad that SU fans add starting to gravitate toward the Best Show. Other highlights include the Alabammy Comet making a great return, Dr. Manheim putting some serious stank on the show, Nathan Felder just in general, and Tony Soprano's ring tone taking its rightful place in the sound collage.

Tony Soprano ringtone on the sound collage was pretty great. Been waiting for that topic to make its way back around. Whoshish?

Was this

This was the filthiest Best Show (including the Half Hour of Power) in the history of the program. Not that I'm complaining.

Also, I saw John Hodgman on Saturday (last show of the tour!) and he said he was doing a PG-13 show. About 8 "fucks." Again, not complaining. I just have to recalibrate my Filthmeter.

Hodgman was fantastic, by the way. I'm seeing Cleese and Idle on Thursday. Combine that with both LA Scharpling & Wurster appearances and I will have seen four live comedy shows this year.

Whoa, time to slow that on down.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Last night's show was one of the best of the year so far.  The Newbridge call felt like the most solid call of the year, and definitely worthy of a Best Of The Best collection in the near future.

Gaile Bennington was a great guest and co-host to Tom last night. Their on-air chemistry is really solid (only second to Tom & Julie Klausner, which is admittedly unbeatable)
