Just watched Elvis Costello's chat show.

Tom's recounting the Lou Reed segment, and the impression, were both ridiculously accurate and now even more hilarious.

Doing both voices was pretty great.  'Perfect Day.'

...is the best bit of holiday cheer I've heard all December long.

Win. Baskets from all over the court. Couldn't miss. Slams, shots from way downtown, hooks, alley-oops. Exhibition stuff!

Away from the tenuous basketball analogy, the first hour or so was completely unhinged brilliance, then Dave from Knoxville intervened with some well-timed sanity - and from then on it had the right mixture of all the good stuff that made three hours just blow by like it's no big deal to just be funny and smart and interesting for that long. Amateurs take heed! FOTchan mutants, may your holidays be spoiled! Tom, Jon, Mike, callers - stay on groovin' safari.

A+

Right after Tom chastised Mike for naming the topic "The Most Boring Stores", Samir killed me when he said, "I have something for the topic, but it's not about those terrible shoppes!"

People not from a specific region of Northern Virginia crack me up.

The placement of Dave from Knoxville's call. Sandwiched between some of the most unhinged, off-the-tracks callers in recent memory, DfK injected some much-needed clarity into the program.

And I just remembered: "Is this show playing in Creedmoor?…Is this what Twitter is getting the show?"

I loved Tom talking over the Neil Diamond song.

I think I need that as an mp3.

As soon as my podcast comes in, I will be making that into an MP3. That was great.

Samir killed it last night too. There were so many legitimate wackos at the start of the show and then, like a Christmas miracle, Samir swoops in with a great call to get the show on track. Well done, Samir!

Dave from Knoxville story? Box wine? Wonderful! Great call, DfK!
Congratulations. You are now a mouse cursor inside a graphics program that the client can control by speaking, emailing and instant messaging.

Fredericks from New Port Richey completely baffled by the presence of another caller on the line while he was talking to Tom. I like to think that right now, Fredericks is smashing through the last remaining walls in his house with a sledgehammer, trying to find where that guy was hiding.
This may be the year I will disappear.

Aw! I couldn't agree more! So good - from Tom impersonating Spike, to Spike's humming & Tom asking if that was his ringer & then the joint caroling & the impending GOMP.

Happy Holidays!

Yes! Could you post that on here after you make it?
