Julie, for a second I thought you wrote this:

OH GOD! I'll fight you.

Phil Collins has a major dick and his music sucks.

Wait, she didn't?

I've fought with my parents about Phil Collins.  But you know what?  "In The Air Tonight" still pumps me up like I'm wearing a lavender suit and am about to bust up a major coke buy.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

He did a great job staring off into the distance in that Bone Thugs-N-Harmony video.

I saw Phil Collins solo in concert in high school and again with Genesis on the Invisible Touch tour.  I was way into him as the drummer during the Peter Gabriel years.

I am only slightly less embarassed by that previous paragraph than I am about wetting my pants on the first day of camp when I was seven.

Whatever flaws his music has (and it has plenty of them), he IS a pretty awesome drummer.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

It's true; check out his work on the first couple of Brand X albums. It's a style he didn't often get to work in (sort of tornadic  prog jazz rock), but he rivals folks like Cobham and Lenny White.

I am a nerd.

There's an interview with him on an episode of This American Life that I thought put him in a pretty good light. He seemed nice, smart and aware of his role in the music world.

PROS:
He invented gated reverb.
He did a show here in Manchester with a segment where the spotlight picks out a woman in the audience to fauxmance; he chose my mum, which pretty much made her day.

CONS:
Buster
He made Genesis suck when he sang.
He doesn't sing anymore - he just makes Phil Collins noises from his mouth.

It's a really tough call.

He ruined Genesis and shall reside in my hate pit for all eternity.

Are you a fan of his work on Disney's Tarzan?

I'll have you know that song makes me cry every time.

I got your back too, Fenderman.

Hell yes.

Also, the Genesis video with the puppets was a joy of mine when I was a whippersnapper.

Maybe I'd like him better if he had, but I doubt it.

Hey! I thought this was the board where all of the closet Phil Collins fans threw everyone off their track by publicly saying he sucks! You guys make no sense.
