I thought it was great.

It was also great to see a sketch with Vincent Price, Carol Channing, Richard Burton, etc. in a show who's demographic (for that night especially--Jonas Bros.) would be a good 34 years behind the curve.

On a not-very-related note, is Al Franken a Senator now or what? What's going on with that shit?
Yes, Al Franken is Senator as soon as the state Supreme Court tells Coleman to get a life. And possibly then after the US Supreme Court says they want no part of it. At which point CSpan will either get a lot more or less entertaining. To that end, maybe Jack Handey could run next. Could the Zombie Prevention Act be far behind? I think not!

I didn't get to watch the whole episode, but I mostly agree with your "... it was great." statement.

And I always love the Vincent Price sketch.  I hope they keep it up, demographics be damned.  Hopefully it'll inspire the youngsters to take an interest in some of the more "classic" forms of entertainment.

I've gotta watch the episode again though, I was too tired when I sat down and napped through most of it.

terrible episode
the classroom sketch, where wiig's character gilly kept doing increasingly violent things, was so unfunny, it actually briefly made me think (LESS) of our own Gilly. only fleetingly!

Modified to make sense.

i will say that the gilly skit was totally unfunny overall, but i cannot count the amount of times me and my roomie have said "Giiiiiiilllllyyyy...." at totally random moments.  this causes at least 2 minutes of constant laughter.  its really become a staple.

Well, the last two hours on NBC may have been the funniest two in television history.

The only thing missin' [A] was this tv ad satire
