November 19, 2002: Tom Calls Corey From The Corporate Rock Band Mother 13 To Even The Score, The Exciting Debut Of www.friendsoftom.com, Kevin Calls Up Yet Again, And The Premiere Of Tom's Alter Ego 'Doc Shock'.

Amazing episode, especially Doc Shock with the record of Shock Me turning on and off.

I am not going through all the episodes featuring Marky Ramone, in order.

There's one that has Marky call in twice, the second time so that he could judge a rap battle between Ted Leo and MC Steinberg.

Other judges include DJ Terre T, Tom "El Goodo" Scharpling, Timmy Von Trimble and Philly Boy Roy.  As you can imagine, it's a solid gold listening experience.

Original air date:  January 17th, 2006.
"I was in the shower and it occurred to me why the Hendersons named their guest "Harry."  That movie has layers!" ~ Jack Doneghy, 30 Rock.

I don't mean this in a bad way, but going back as early as 2002 through 2004, I was really surprised how hilarious most of the shows were. I guess having come into the Best Show fold late I expected the earlier stuff to be more raw, but it's just as sharp.

I love this thread.

I've been listening to the music from October 16, 2007 on repeat for hours now.  It's incredible.

I just listened to the January 17, 2006:  MC Steinberg Battles Ted Leo.   In preparation for my MC Steinberg diss track.  Good episode.  Leo has some serious flow.

I listened to the August 12, 2008 show this afternoon, and the H-Man's gomps near the end of the show may be among the best ever...

That's a best show classic. Wurster was amazing and TL's final track was classic. It doesn't get much better.

Slowly working my way forward through the archives. Right now, listening to 06/19/01 with Mr. Loophole.

I'm actually listening to each show twice; the second time I listen to it, I do a running log of bits, callers, music, etc. for handy reference later. Yes, I am that big of a dork.

Good for you.  You should post this somewhere, I'm sure some of us would find some use for it.

Have definitely thought about doing that. Will try and clean it up and do so soon. I've done it for pretty much every available show from 2000 through June of 2001.

Just got to the Teenage Girl show.  I love how you can hear Tom regretting his decision more and more as the night goes on.    Mike Show/Teenage Girl Show teamup would be amazing, but probably result in jailtime for anyone involved.

February 14, 2006. The show where Tom and Rick from Poster Children get into it. Good GOD. What a smug, sanctimonious prick that guy was.

Yeah, it's almost like it was somebody else pretending to be Rick from Poster Children.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Do they give out Oscars for radio show performances?
