My daughter fell in love with ABBA because of TBS. She was just learning how to sit up when the ABBA Box was in the midst of it's reign on TBS and was into them immediately. She got the Definitive Collection and the DVD for her 2nd birthday, and the book and box set for Christmas. She has looked at the book so many times that pages are falling out and I've had to tape the book back together.
That is so awesome. Your daughter certainly has good taste. Mine's a blossoming ABBA fan as well, although she simply refers to the band as a whole as "the dancing queen."
As for purchases I can thank TBS for:
- Nixonland: Can't say enough good things about it, although it isn't hard to see why some folks might get bored/frustrated reading it. Making it to the end of the 700+ pages is a big commitment. I'm about 1/4 of the way through and got many good laughs out of Nixon's uncontrollable urge to control things.
- Solo McCartney: Never a diehard Beatles fan, I was surprised how quickly I took to the Wings stuff. It's fantastic.
- Look Around You Series 1: It don't get much funnier than this.
- Panera Bread: Really good black bean soup - especially for a chain restaurant. Don't eat there often but without Tom's accolades I probably never would've tried it.
