I remember Dennis Miller at the start of his slide toward loathsome spokesworm for the people that suck all the good out of life doing some bit about he worked with M&Ms because it meant money for him and for his family, so it was OK to sell out. His argument made sense, and I don't think anyone would begrudge a guy working with anthropomorphized candy for a payday. I'm not aware of M&Ms collaborating with the Nazis like IBM did, anyway.

Unfortunately he somehow decided working with the likes of Karl Rove was equivalent to working with M&Ms, which is a big insult to M&Ms. Yes, the pretzel M&Ms were a big mistake, and the commercials were juvenile and puerile, but overall M&Ms are an OK product that you can choose not to eat if you don't want to eat them.

the correct answer is Tucker Max.  I have to be restrained to throw those who defend him in the hate pit.

in fact, every time i see a woman read his book in public, a piece inside of me dies.

I literally can't even imagine seeing a woman read one of his books. At least his movie tanked.

Timothy Hutton for that hateful Super Bowl ad mocking Tibeatans. How about the whole TNT creepy sexist dude roster? (Scott Bakula, Jason Lee, dude that looks kinda like David Arquette)

I'd like to nominate David Sedaris for his recent speaking tour, on which he chose to repeat dumb, racist jokes told to him during book signings to his overwhelmingly white audience. Profiles in courage!

I don't know if Gary Busey should be in the discussion for the Hate Pit, since its very possible that a lot of his behaviour can be explained by a mental illness, but he did a movie that is VERY Hate Pit worthy and I can't believe that more people don't know about it. Its a Turkish movie called Kurtlar Vidisi: Irak (Valley of the Wolves: Iraq), in which Busey has a small role as a Jewish surgeon that harvests the organs of prisoners in Abu Ghraib. Here's a youtube link to the whole movie (it is pretty graphic):

Kurtlar Vadisi: Irak (2007, En Subs)

Busey makes his entrance at 27:30 and that scene is over at about 30:50.
At 1:03:13 Busey and Billy Zane (the lead villain, duh) have a stupid scene together where they talk about Christianity and Judaism that lasts a little over a minute.

Z'dar-dar. Its like a radar that detects Robert Z'dar.

I kind of liked Pretzel M&Ms.
Oh, good heavens. I didn’t realize. I send my condolences out to the rest of the O’Connor family.

Alright, this is kind of harsh but I hate Moby after seeing his 'Hollywood Castle' spread in the NY Times.

I want a castle.

Even at 63, in his tight pants and high heels, Lemmy is, and will always be a god.  Let's put this dude on the love hill.

Oh, no shit, man... "Overkill" is such a great fuckin' album... I even recall liking the early Hawkwind stuff I've heard... There's more coolness and awesomeness in one of Lemmy's loogies than there is in the totality of everything Bono has ever done...

So how is the documentary "Lemmy: 49% Motherfucker, 51% Son Of A Bitch"?
"Paradise is exactly like where you are right now. Only much, much better."

What did Scott Bakula do that was sexist?

What did Scott Bakula do that was sexist?
During the Evil Leaper arc in Quantum Leap's later, lesser seasons, Bakula personally made them write a climactic scene where he says "Maybe you should have stayed in the kitchen where you belong!" before executing a No-Shadow Kick on the Evil Leaper and knocking her into the time stream, where she was trapped forever.

At the time, fans were bugged about Dr. Sam Beckett yelling something so strangely out-of-character and sexist, but they were also really happy that the old plot thread about Sam being an expert in several styles of martial arts was brought back, so it didn't explode into the kind of controversy it probably could have. It was a pretty sweet No-Shadow Kick.

Big fan of the Wes oeuvre, but I can't read this.  My summary would be, "nerd nerd nerd nerd Dean Stockwell 'the candy-coated clown they call the Sandman' nerd nerd what was that thing called, 'Ziggy'? nerd."  Is that close enough?

Ugh, there was no Stockwell. You're the worst person ever.

Otherwise, though, pretty spot on.

Has Tom ever expressed an opinion about Woody Allen?  Man, I would consign that guy to my personal Hate Pit without blinking.

Do you hate all the movies? I'll admit he's made a lot of crap but I'd say I love Husbands and Wives, Crimes and Misdemeanors, Hannah and Her Sisters and maybe Interiors.
