Aaaagggh, I'm not sure we can discuss this productively.  I consider Crimes and Misdemeanors possibly the most Hate Pit-worthy movie I've ever seen.  I'm sure he's made worse--that was the last one I saw actually.

I'm surprised they're able to broadcast live from the hate pit.

Can people be thrown into the hate pit posthumously, or is that just beside the point?

Speaking for myself, I think this should be allowed. They can be added to the torments of the live people down there.

I would put Woody Allen's best 10 films up against anyone's ever. I include in that collection

Annie Hall
Crimes and Misdemeanors
Deconstructing Harry
Hannah and Her Sisters
Husbands and Wives
Love and Death
Manhattan
Manhattan Murder Mystery
Sleeper
Zelig

I will be glad to do a side-by-side comparison with someone of your choosing, if you like. Of course, this is representative of my own opinion. You may think Greg Araki is a genius.

This will drive you crazy, and it's the wrong topic, but I love this game; so take this over to the general movies topic (I can't remember the exact title).

Ted Nugent.

I worked a show of his last night, and I officially went from ambivalently knowing that he's a loudmouth who I have some different opinions from to actually hoping something decisively bad happens to him soon.

I do not like Woody Allen much but I thought Sleeper and Crimes and Misdemeanors were very good.  I'll play Dave.
I say Martin Scorsese's ten best are wayyyyy better than Woody's top ten.  Bring out your trigonometry and math magic and formulas.

1.  Taxi Driver
2.  Raging Bull
3.  Goodfellas
4,  Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore
5.  After Hours
6.  The King of Comedy
7.  The Departed
8.  The Aviator
9. The Color of Money
10. Mean Streets

No one asked for this, which is why I'm doing it.

1.  Taxi Driver - good, not great

2.  Raging Bull - one of the, if not the, most overrated movie(s) of all time.  I would need to be paid pretty well to watch this again.

3.  Goodfellas - GREAT!  Even as praised as it is, it's underrated.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

I will "prove" you wrong when I get home, by extracting what's like, then comparing what's left. But I will still love you as much as ever.

Too many of Scorsese's movie titles start with "the"
Breakfast- I'm havin' a time
Wheelies- I'm havin' a time
Headlocks- I'm havin' a time
Drunk Tank- not so much a time
George St.- I'm havin' a time
Brenda- I'm havin' a time
Bingo- I'm havin' a time
House Arrest- I'm still havin' a time
