Jeepers- that call where the guy read about 2 minutes of Plan 9 From Outer Space - when the best line is basically the first or second of the film:

Chriswell: We are all interested in the future, for that is where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives.

also, I know Tom wasn't too hot on The Blues Brothers, but I think this is pretty good without being the ones everyone quotes:

Burton Mercer: [to Trooper Daniel] Hi! Wanna hand me the mike?
[Daniel gives him the police radio]
Burton Mercer: Thanks a lot.
[speaking in radio]
Burton Mercer: Hi, this is car um...
[to Officer Mount]
Burton Mercer: What number are we?
Officer Mount: Five-five.
Burton Mercer: [to radio] Car 55. Um... we're in a truck!
[chuckles nervously]
Whatcha eatin' there, some Doritos?
-crunch- uh-hu. -crunchcrunch-
That's great radio. Get off my phone.

Scrooged:

"You've got a program featuring America's favorite old fart. Reading a book in front of a fireplace. Now, I have to kill all of you."

Here's another great Ghostbusters quote:

Janine Melnitz: Do you want some coffee, Mr. Tulley?
Louis: [to Egon] Do I?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Yes, have some.
Louis: [to Janine] Yes, have some.
"Straight-up, helicopters are beyond fresh."

That's a good one Erika.

On the Scrooged note, I personally like the following exchange:

Frank: I know who I am; I know what I want; and I know what's going on.
Ghost of X-mas past: *Whistle* Hey Frank...Over here.
Frank: "WHAT'S GOING ON???!!!!!"

Death Wish 3 never got better than this:

Tulio: They killed the Giggler, man!
Fraker: They had no business doing that. None.

This is my first post. I'm not sure if there have been any quotes from The Lost Boys on the list, but how about Cory Feldman's line, when Cory Haim's brother is turning into a vampire:

"You'd better get yourself a garlic T-shirt, buddy, or it's your funeral. "

It seems like there is some untapped wes anderson still.  particularly a shout out to Owen Wilson:

"You're in love with Richie. Which is sick and gross"

or

"Give it to…give it to those guys.  I don’t have any hard feelings."  there is a ton of really good stuff from Bottle Rocket, of course.

"Barton Fink" must be on the list. Anything W.P. Mayhew says is gold:

"Mister Fink, they have not invented a genre of picture that Bill Mayhew has not, at one time or other, been invited to essay. Yes, I have taken my stab at the rasslin' form, as I have stabbed at so many others, and with as little success. I gather that you are a freshman here, eager for an upperclassman's counsel. However, just at the moment, I have drinking to do. Why don't you stop by my bungalow, which is number fifteen, later on this afternoon, and we will discuss rasslin' scenarios and other things lit'rary."

or

"Breach my levee at your own peril!"

Others:

"I've always found that writing comes from a great inner pain."

"I gotta tell you, the life of the mind... There's no roadmap for that territory... And exploring it can be painful."

"Wallace Beery. Wrestling picture. What do you need, a roadmap?"

"Think about it, Fink! Writers come and go; we always need Indians!"

"Me, I just enjoy making things up. Yessah, escape. Its when I can't write I can't escape myself, I want to rip my head off and run screaming down the street with my balls in a fruit pickers pail."

"We're only interested in one thing, Bart. Can you tell a story? Can you make us laugh? Can you make us cry? Can you make us want to break out in joyous song? Is that more than one thing? Okay!"

It ain't ego, it's my love for you.

She was an ugly and mean-spirited kid, but she knew how to play upon my weaknesses, which, I admit, are deep and many.

-Henry Fool
"You want me to recognize you and I won't. I won't acknowledge you! I deny you. So you keep begging and begging. The door is slammed on you. I want nothing to do with you. You will die unrecognized by me."
-Tom Scharpling
