the guy in the Crazy Eddie ads wasn't Crazy Eddie!?!  We used to get PIX and WOR in the Boston market in the early days of cable and those commercials were the best. them and Carvel.

"I"M IN THE TOP 20. YOU DON'T TALK OVER ME!"

Eesh. Worst for me. Earned not so much as a dignified "heave ho" or "get off my phone," but instead a scream preceding dead air. I shudder to listen back to it. It makes you respect the ability of good callers to comfortably sit with silence.

Best? Tom's utter delight and sheer giddiness as the guy started telling a story about Donald Trump's kid, as expressed by Tom stopping him before the story started to make sure everybody knew how excited he was. Really got me going.

Gary bursting into Mike and Vance's King Crimson/Cheech & Chong conversation with "You're a drug addict!" was absolutely brilliant.

A tremendous show, and one with no guests, no Jon, few regulars. Just Tom, APMIke and the puppets.

I've been waiting for a while to hear Tom talk about Hardcore Pawn. That show is a nightmare, that's the only word I can use to describe it.

TOM'S BEAUTIFUL MIND ... (not an exact transcription):

"I'm getting in to heavy rock, I'm sick of this wimp stuff. What kind of self-respecting young person could be into Bon Iver ... you're young!! What are ya doin'? It's mope music ... Stop moping! Bon Iver ... that guy ... he looks like a carpet salesman ... Bon Iver shows up at your house with a tape measure ... I got no time for these guys!!"

This. I wasn't sure about that caller at first, but he sure brought it. Amazing story, and Tom's excitement made it so much better.

Also, Tom's Lana Del Rey impression. I've been laughing like a maniac all day thinking about it.

My thoughts exactly.

The "Rhapsody In Blue" kazoo nearly killed me.

But I was bummed that Dr. Moreau-era Brando was bumped from the Celebrity Apprentice line-up. Seemed perfect to me...Orson Welles be damned.

My favs:

1. Jason's call
2. Bayonne City Rollers
3.  Pretty much the entire Celebrity Apprentice talk

AP Mikes dirty trading cards
« Reply #8440 on: April 19, 2012, 09:47:42 AM »
In the beginning of the show, Tom mentioned that AP Mike was drooling over a set of filthy trading cards he received in the mail from a listener. I published them and sent them to Mike but I was afraid Tom would be offended so I didn't send him any. They're called Randy Packs  - this is what's in Series 1:

        Marc Bell - Hot Doggin'
        Brent Birnbaum - Cleveland Steamer
        Ivan Brunetti - Dirty Sammich
        Vanessa Davis - Selson Blow
        David DeGrand - Topeka Destroyer
Renee French - Tiara Taco & Hot Lunch
        Alex Gingrow - Popcorn Trick
        Justin Hall - The Santa
        Sam Henderson - Pearl Necklace
        kozyndan - Soggy Buscuit
        Michael Krueger - Groucho Sunrise
Adam Koford (Ape Lad) - Alien Brain
        Taylor McKimens - Couch-Bombing
        Travis Millard - Ambushing Paddington
        Tuan Nguyen - The Moses
Jeff Roysdon - Mile High Club
        Johnny Ryan - Rusty Trombone
        Christian Schumann - Roman Shower
        Michael Scoggins - The Coyote
Adam Parker Smith - Gorilla Mask
        Scott Teplin - Frozen Eddy
Mark Dean Veca - Hole in One
Steven Weissman - Aussy Death Grip

It is interesting that the FANTASY ISLAND clip has JWS and La Lucci.
