yeah. whats the scoop? did tom know all them then? or where they punk kids that he dismissed and they later went on to be funny. this is one of my favorite things about the best show. in an age where every answer is just a google search away I still get fooled and confused by things on the best show.

I kinda hope i never know the answer to this question....

I didn't think it could get any better than the Mike/Jinx scenario, but then there was the amazing Wheel of Crystal, a solid Wackiman call, and the whole amazing Bowling Alley Confessions segment. The show just kept on giving.

Tom's reaction to Sparkle Bomb saying her ex-boyfriend's name is "Mike".  That killed me.

As Tom was trying to figure out what Wally Wackiman's owner's name should be it came to me:

"Pude, puppet dude."

Best:

Bowling Alley Confessions was a great segment. Fred's "anonymous" call was painful.

TOM SINGING

LOVE the past topics ban. Not sure if that was in this week's episode or the last's, but it keeps things fresh and seems to cut down on the drawling, dawdling calls.

I never thought I'd hear another mention of Redeeming Rainbow on the Best Show.

I didn't realize that Redeeming Rainbow was done by people with, ah, connections to Tom. Those calls now seem like inside jokes.

Is that THE Pat Byrne from WFMU?
Yes. It's THEE Pat Byrne.

I love that people who previously would've been tolerated are now being Bad Companied.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Tom: [Guy Fieri] is tight with the guys from Smash Mouth, he wrote a cook buy with the guy...he's really into them.
Carl: Huh..he, doesn't look like he would be.

The sax dude's name is Timmy Capello; there is hilarous video of a then-skinny (he got into bodybuilding to get off heroin) Timmy gyrating erotically as a member of Peter Gabriel's first post-Genesis live band.

It was fun hearing JW briefly playing the straight man to Gary.

Okay as a new-ish person I have to ask, is this the first time JW has interacted with Gary?

As long-time listener, I'm wondering the same thing.  Liked the image of "Carl" and Gary heading out together in LA night.
