I wonder if there's a site that could help answer that.

Sorry. I will consult the site first in the future before bothering the forum with such trifles.

It's ok, I was just a-playactin'.

But I hope the site is helpful!

Okay, now that I have consulted your most helpful site, and seen that the first Gorch call show is not available in the archives, is there any place where the whole show is available? I bought the album with The Gorch on it, but I'd love to hear the unexpurgated version.

There's a thread about this also going on.

Unfortunately, right now, the uncut versions of the old calls (and the entire shows they came from) are the single most important missing pieces of the Newbridgiverse.
I really don't appreciate your sarcastic, anti-comedy tone, Bro!

Blast! But thank you for that info.

I can't remember if its an official CD or something I got from the old vault, but I can't remember which call is the original president baseball call. I've checked buffcoat's site.

Postal Slap fight off of the S&W cd Art of the Slap.  It's in response to Cheyney throwing out the first pitch at a baseball game.  Here's a link to the album: http://www.stereolaffs.com/slap.php  They talk about it not even a minute after the audio sample clip cuts off.

The album is worth the price for the Andy from Lake Newbridge call alone.

Hope that was what you were looking for.

I think PBR might mention President Baseball during the Yankees vs. Mets call (the first show in the archives), but I'm not sure.
I'll probably go into the wee hours.

I listened to that one not too long ago, and I believe you're right.

I love that call. My brother bought the CD and showed me the Andy from Lake Newbridge call telling me at the start that a carp was on the phone. It made the call more enjoyable when you knew from the beginning, and just as good on the 4th or 5th listen as well.
If honesty changed the hearts of men, who could contend? If all I thought were true, in this great divide that is my life, I fear to think of all that I'd undo, if all i thought were true.

I just listened to the Listener Appreciation show from early 2001. Ho. Lee. Shit.

I can't believe how much abuse Tom took on this show. The stuff with Todd and Claude Billups is hysterical, but my god, people seriously hated him and the show back then. They seemed to think he was pulling some kind of "fraud" with the Wurster calls, and they were really angry about it. It was seriously upsetting to hear.

I think my favourite archive show so far is the first movie quotes one (June 28, 2005). Tom's suggestion to have a buzzer for the bad AFI quotes is just hilarious. I also checked out several movies after listening to this (Rock And Roll High School, for one), as well as re-evaluating some other classics.

I'm listening to 04/11/09.  It's the first show after Bush won the reelection.  It's a Patriot Zone episode hosted by Tom Sharp.  Jason from England is in the studio also.  Great episode.

That "04/11/09" date confused me so hard, for so long. I feel dumb now...

I'm on the episode with Neil Pollack, December 5, 2000.

I'm having a lot of fun hearing callers think they're really smart and claiming that the Wurster callers are pulling Tom's leg in these early shows. As if they got it and he didn't, and they were helping him out.

7/15/03 - Dr. Udo Erasmus is the guest. The Dr. is legit and Tom seems genuinely interested in what he has to say, but then PBR and Cpt. Jack call in and hilarity ensues.

PBR asking Dr. Erasmus whether it's OK to smoke is great. You can hear Tom totally losing it in the background.
