-Yes! Mike has been great lately.  I was dying of laughter at work hearing Gary call for Mike's attention: "Hey Mike? Miiiiike?"

-The Barney Miller finale description was the greatest TV synopsis since the CBGBs-inspired finale of Archie Bunker's Place.

-also very touched by Tom's tribute to Gord.

Because I really like it, can anyone tell me what's the title/artist of the first song that Tom played in tribute to Gord?

Even though he's not a big fan, I could listen to Vance talk about Peter Gabriel's Tho all day.

I'm disappointed to hear that Vance didn't stick with Peter Gabriel through 1992's Uth. That album has its moments.

I loved the episode of 'What's Happening Now?' featuring everybody going nuts for England Dan.

I love when PBR goes to LA because he goes into hubris overload and says shit like "logline"-also, the thing about the only aired once episode with Barney Miller's decapitated head rolling into a fruit store was killing me.

I am compelled to add, however, that PBR is a StarTrekdummy - that bald chick from the 1st movie, Persis Khambatta? She passed on.

Remember how he couldn't stop his leg?

I sort of loved the creepy Elvis-singing lady. Maybe it's because I just watched What Ever Happened to Baby Jane, and I was getting a weird Bette Davis vibe.

It's Candace, right? She called (sang) more in 2010, I think. The very first thing that that popped into my head when she started singing was (and I know better), "UB40."
PBR: "I don't wanna change your loife." England Dan & John Ford Coley's hits set my teeth on edge, even from a very young age.
PBR: "Newcleus."

DC Pierson was great. I really like and recommend the movie "Mystery Team."

"Dad gets mad."

The comeback in the second half of this last show was amazing.  Also, I've listened every week since end of 2009, and I don't think I've heard Amon Duul II, one of my favorite bands ever, mentioned in the show until this past one, so the krautrock/progrock dude in me got really excited when Vance dropped the knowledge.

This week's Gary the Squirrel/AP Mike showdown made me grateful to have ears.
